Dakota Blue Richards, an English actress is best known for playing Lyra in the film "The Golden Compass. She was also Franky as Franky in the British drama Skins. She's also an present stage performer. She has appeared in 'Arcadia as well as 'A Streetcar named Desire" along with many other films. Richards is a Londoner by birth, grew up on her home on the Sussex coast. She attended a few theater classes in her high school, but mainly took acting lessons on the weekends. In addition, she skipped school for auditions. The film was her debut an actress. Richards acting performance was well-received by many people, in spite of her lackluster reaction to the film. Later that year Richards made her modest screen debut on television in the film 'Dustbin Baby'.
